The only thing more Australian than playing cricket at the beach, or listening to Triple J's Hottest 100, is getting together with your mates and supporting a good cause.

This year, the team at Eurong Beach Resort has decided to combine these two great Aussie traditions, on the Eastern side of Fraser Island, by hosting an Australia Day Big Bash- style cricket carnival on the new Eurong Oval.

While the calibre of the Eurong team may not quite match that of the Brisbane Heat, we are confident the event will provide plenty of entertainment for guests on Fraser Island.

A sausage sizzle and soft drinks will also be on sale, with all proceeds going to Fraser Island's emergency volunteers and first responders.
