Your K'gari Beach Resort off-roading adventure begins with a stunning journey across the Great Sandy Strait with SeaLink K'gari (Fraser Island) Ferries. K'gari (Fraser Island) Ferries have several services daily from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay.

WANGGOOLBA CREEK SERVICE:
PLEASE NOTE: The barge service between River Wanggoolba Creek from River Heads is scheduled daily, however please note that some services are affected due to tides, and may land at Kingfisher Bay Resort*. We encourage all travellers to check with our reservations team at the time of booking, for the current schedule.
*Note: Should crossing times change during cases of extreme low tides, our Reservations team will inform you at the time of booking. Guests with existing bookings will be contacted and their bookings moved to other services.

Ticket Hut/River Heads Mainland Reception:
This office will operate 7 days a week to provide services to barge, tours and resort guests.
The Ticket Hut (Located by the River Heads Boat Ramp) will be open daily from 06:30 - 13:00 and 13:45 - 16:00, closed on Christmas day.
River Heads Mainland Reception is open from 08:00 - 16:00 daily.
EX RAINBOW BEACH / INSKIP POINT:
The 10 minute crossing operates on demand and during daylight hours.
(NB: This service is not operated by the Kingfisher Bay Resort Group and our Reservations team are unable to make bookings on your behalf.)
PLEASE NOTE: K'gari Beach Resort is only accessible by 4WD and there are options to hire 4WD's from Kingfisher Bay Resort and from the mainland - though bookings are required in advance. K'gari Explorer Tours operates accommodated tours (staying at Eurong) out of Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay.
